A little about me
I have been involved in the photography industry for around 15 years and about 4 years ago I decided to take a leap of faith and put my all into J. Curtis Photography full time. When I first started I was nervous and excited but I honestly had no idea how fast it would have taken off. I quickly grew out of my car (home sessions), my first 2 studios, and now I'm happily settled into my Blue Point Studio. With this amazing growth I recently hired my best friend, Tori to help with keeping track of everything.
What keeps me going and growing?
The amount of love and support that I get from the families I photograph is my main driving force, it is heart warming and encouraging in a way that I never would have imagined was possible. We always have so much fun during our sessions, the smiles I capture are all genuine and backed by a whole lot of laughter.
My favorite part about having my own business, is that I get to watch my families grow through my lens. Many of my families started as an Engagement Session and are now onto their 3rd or 4th child. This is a connection I wouldn't trade for the world and I thank you all for welcoming me to be a part of every special milestone moment for your family.
Tori Mahoney

I have known Jess for many years, when we met it was in almost the same capacity as the position we are in now. After many years of working together, our careers went in separate directions... Jess started her own Photography business and I went to fulfill my love of working on film sets behind the camera. We stayed best friends through all those years and today we find ourselves working together again.
A little about me
I not only have experience as an Office Manager but I have a degree in Film/Video and have worked on numerous productions.
From commercials, to shorts, to feature length films as a freelance Camera Assistant.
My passion lives behind the camera where I happily got to be for many years. Once Covid hit, it changed a lot of things for a lot of people. For me... well, I found myself wanting to scale down and try a different approach to creating memories through videos.
After many discussions with Jess we have decided to join forces again.
Jess always referred to all of her customers as "her families" and from the few "families" that I have already had the opportunity to meet, I can honestly understand and feel the love that Jess feels for every single one of you. I look forward to being a part of this amazing business that Jess has grown and nurtured from the ground up and I especially look forward to getting to meet more of her "family".
